Are Genetically Modified Foods Safe?
Hot:
This report is the most outrageous thing I ever read. You have got to read this and figure out how to protect your family’s health. May I suggest you check out our store at http://shop.ourdayshopping.com and look at the various greenhouses available for you to grow your own food. Some of them are very economical.
Please read this report below from NewsMax.com.

Genetically modified foods have come to your local supermarket, even though most Americans don’t want them and many believe they’re dangerous. A CBS poll found that 53 percent of Americans wouldn’t buy food they knew had been genetically modified. But here’s the rub—there’s no easy way to know which foods contain genetically modified ingredients.
Genetically modified foods are made by inserting genes from another species into a food’s DNA. About 60 to 70 percent of products on grocery store shelves contain at least one genetically engineered element. These foods include corn, strawberries, tomatoes, lettuce, potatoes, soybean, and canola.

Nothing is better than the food you grow yourself and can. You know what’s in it and you can determine how much sugar and salt goes into the bottled food.
I hope you take this report to heart and find a way to get yourself a garden or an economical greenhouse and start growing and canning your own foods.
Collapse And Prosper!
Hot:
I just had to share this article with you. It came to me in an email from Mike Dillard, who is a very successful entrepreneur. I admire this man and I respect his advice.
I hope you benefit from this email I’ve reposted for you and glean important information from it to help you deal with our unstable times.
This Journey Began Two Years Ago, (and has been quite profitable), Thanks To The Following…
1: Robert Kiyosaki’s book, “Rich Dad’s Prophecy“. Written in 2002 (!!!), Robert basically called the collapse of 2008, six years before they happened.
This book will give you an excellent bird’s-eye-view of what’s happened, why it happened, and what’s still to come. (And yes, there’s still much ahead in the coming years). This is the book that “woke me up” to what was about to happen, and spurred me into massive action.
2: My good friend and financial mentor, Kip Herriage from thewww.VRALetter.com. Kip’s stock portfolio has finished up 100%+ annually for the last 8 years, which is insane. The guy is ridiculously good when it comes to the market, and calling critical market changes days before they happen.
3: Through Kip and Robert, I became very good friends with Michael Maloney, author of Rich Dad’s “Guide to Investing In Gold and Silver”
Michael’s book came out about two years ago, and it’s AN AWESOME, easy to read piece that will teach you the history of money, fiat currencies, precious metals, and the Federal Reserve.
As Robert would say, “Once you understand history, you can accurately predict the future”. Michael’s book will teach you the history in a quick, fun, and easy-to-read manner, so you can see the future.
I visit Michael’s site, www.GoldSilver.com several times a day to comb through the news articles on the home page.
I gave the head of every household in our family a copy of this book for Christmas, so he could take responsibility for his family’s future. (Ironically, not a single one of them has found the time to read it yet).
4: www.BusinessInsider.com. This is the best news site in the world as far as I’m concerned, and the only one I read.
5: Finally, I just found these videos through a friend last week. The information wasn’t new to me, but I think it’s a GREAT resource if you’re brand new to what’s going on. http://www.chrismartenson.com/crashcourse
By the time you watch the entire free video series, you’ll know more about what’s happening, why, and what’s to come in the future, than 99.99% of the world.
So there’s a great “getting started” list for you.
For the most part, they all say the same thing, because as I mentioned before, the outcome of today’s economic events are inevitable. Anyone seeking the truth, looks at the same events, the same numbers, and sees the same future.
It’s not too late, but the clock is about an hour from midnight. Arming yourself with this knowledge today, will ensure a prosperous and profitable tomorrow.
To your future,

Mike Dillard
Toxic Waste In Our Food

Why Haven’t Fruit & Vegetable Eaters Been Told About This Toxic Waste Overload

The U.S. government is encouraging farmers to spread a chalky waste from coal-fired power plants on their
fields to loosen and fertilize soil.
The material is produced by power plant “scrubbers” that remove acid-rain-causing sulfur dioxide from plant emissions.
The substance is a synthetic form of the mineral gypsum, and it also contains mercury, arsenic, lead and other heavy metals.
The Environmental Protection Agency says those toxic metals occur in only tiny amounts. But some environmentalists say too little is known about how the material affects crops, and ultimately human health.
Sources:
Washington Post December 23, 2009
Wall Street Journal January 9, 2010
Dr. Mercola’s Comments:
As you may know, coal-fired plants produce about 50 percent of the power in the US, and are a major source of environmental pollution. One of its byproducts is FGD gypsum (flue gas desulfurization gypsum). Not surprisingly, the standard solution is to develop a scheme to sweep the problem under the rug and make money doing it…<<MORE>>

Trying Terrorists in Civilian Courts Cripples National Security
NewsMax reports that “The Obama administration is making a dangerous mistake by trying the Detroit airline bomber in a civilian court, says Sen. Kit Bond, the ranking Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Putting Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab will not only pose a threat to the city in which he’s prosecuted, Bond says, but it also hampers the ability of intelligence professionals to get valuable information.”
I think a majority of American agree with this statement, I know that I do!
“We’ve learned the hard way that trying terrorists in a federal court comes at a high price,” said Bond, R-Mo.
“First, we lose out on potential lifesaving intelligence, which we need right now. It also in the past has compromised our sources and methods.”
The problem I have and many others have as well, is that the terrorists are NOT American citizens who committed burglary or arson or something like that, they are enemy combatants/ In case anybody forgot, we are at war with these people. Why would we give someone who is NOT a citizen the same rights and access to legal representation in the states when they do not have such protection. They are foreigners and do NOT have the right. I just don’t understand the Obama Administration’s thinking in this matter.
The NewsMax report continues by stating that “Bond also opposes closing the prison for terrorist suspects at Guantanamo Bay, as President Obama has pledged to do. “Based on what we now know, Gitmo is the best place to keep these enemy combatants,” Bond said. “When you release them, and even worse if you bring them to the United States, that is likely to compromise our national security.”
All we can do at this point is hope that enough support will grow on both sides of the Senate to prevent the closing of the Guantanamo Bay facility. This is my hope at least, and I am sure the hope of a lot of Americans today. However, what concerns me is that the Senate is unwilling to go against the President, who obviously wants to close the facility so I doubt this situation will become reality. The President is determined to close Gitmo and we all know that he usually gets what he wants. Right?
As far as I am concerned, it appears that Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is naive and does not really understand the task that her job requires to keep us secure. If the Democrats won’t admit that we are at war with terrorism and see acts like Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab Christmas Day attempt to harm us as a terrorism threat, then how can they really protect us? Did you notice that, although Democrats will not use the phrase “War on Terrorism”, the President finally admitted on television that we are at war with al-Qaeda. The problem with his statement is that we are not at war with just al-Qaeda but with hundreds of terrorist groups (mostly from the Muslim/Arab nations).
I do believe that the President is starting to see things a little more clearly about terrorism but I do not think he is taking it seriously enough yet. If he really understood terrorism the way he should as Commander and Cheif, then why did he take so long to leave his golf game and pay attention to what happened n Christmas day? I would like to believe that he understands but it’s hard for me to accept right now.
Obviously our system malfunctioned on Christmas day and that means American still are far from being safe. Bond is right when he questioned: “Is there somebody who is egregiously at fault, or is the system just not adequate to handle all these points?”
NewsMax.com reported that Bond said he is confident in the ability of Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., to conduct a fair, nonpartisan investigation. “She has worked on a very bipartisan basis with us,” he said. “I’m pleased with how the Intelligence Committee is working.”
Are you as confident in Dianne Feinstein to conduct a fair, nonpartisan investigation as Bond? Perhaps you have the same problem I do with the attitude of most Democrats on terrorism. Please leave a comment. I would love to hear from you on this topic.

Peace On Earth Wish For New Year
Hot:

We can at least hope for peace on earth and to try to create peace in our own environment.

Let us see if we can try to have a Happy New Year in 2010!! We have a lot to be grateful for and a lot that we can do to make our lives better. We must keep things in perspective and not over estimate our abilities and make things worse for ourselves. It’s easy to do that after having a great holiday season. We need to remember that life is short and so we must stay in the moment and make the best of things as they are right now.
Of course, because my job is to help you prepare for future problems, it may be hard to stay positive when I keep reminding you to store food and emergency supplies. Just keep in mind that stormy times are always possible but we need to live in the moment in trying to be happy. We need to take each moment to be thankful for what we have, for our precious family members (even though we may be angry with them), and for our job (if we still have one), and our lives.
There is much that we can find to be grateful for when we look for it. I hope you will take the time to think about these things and to consider what you can do to be more prepared for days ahead.
